It all starts with a good backstory...
So here’s mine:
With over 20 years of experience in production, I began my career directing high-profile documentaries and popular TV shows for The BBC, Sky, Amazon Prime and Discovery.
With this strong foundation in storytelling, I now work as a Director, DOP, and Editor, creating content for broadcast Television and big-name brands such as Adidas, Jaguar, Heineken, and Sony.
Along the way, I am very proud to have won a shelf-full of awards, including three BAFTA nominations, a Royal Television Society Award, and various other accolades in cinematography and production.
At my core, I love people. I find them fascinating. I enjoy discovering what makes them tick. Whether it’s someone facing life in jail or your local Amazon delivery driver, everyone has a story to tell.
Relentlessly optimistic and easy to get along with, I think one of my strongest skills is making people feel at ease in front of the camera, a crucial first step to telling a great story.
A little bit about how I like to film:
As a Director and DOP, I’m equally at home self-shooting or leading a team of camera operators.
For larger productions, I can help assemble a team, drawing from a strong network of trusted camera ops, assists, sound and lighting crew.
I’m also equally comfortable in smaller setups. Much of my documentary work is self-shot I’m the director, cameraman, sound operator, and often the shoulder to cry on.
Smaller teams allow us to gain access to extraordinary places and capture stories that feel intimate and deeply personal.
