Often, deep-rooted in past experiences or traumas, these phobias can cause shame, stigma and even ridicule as people suffer in silence, sometimes with wide-ranging, negative impacts on their daily lives
The Kindt clinic in Amsterdam claims it can cure anyone of their phobias through exposure therapy. We followed 20 people with crippling fears: birds, heights, even the sea, and watched as they faced their worst nightmares head-on, and came out the other side transformed.
