In the UK, each week, two women are killed by their partners and the frightening reality is that it can happen to anyone. Domestic abuse doesn’t recognise age, class, cultural background or education.

In this TV first: We wanted to make a programme, that was easy to access, that gave simple, practical advise on how to get out of an abusive relationships. A ‘how to’ on escaping. Safely. 

We enlisted the advice from the UK’s top domestic violence charities on how to make this project. In the film we interview seven experts and hear the essential steps for a victim to prepare themselves emotionally and practically to walk away safely.
